5th General Assembly Athens

On 13 and 14 February 2024, the TO_AITION project’s consortium gathered in Athens (Greece) for the 5th annual General Assembly, hosted by partner EXELIXIS.

TO_AITION actively seeks to:

o   Characterize immune-metabolic mechanisms driving CVD-depression comorbidity through basic, preclinical, and clinical research.

o   Employ hypothesis and data-driven strategies to determine causality, focusing on genetic, epigenetic, transcriptional, metabolic, and other disturbances leading to comorbidity.

o   Develop new risk models and address regulatory, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility issues while improving patient-oriented awareness and management activities.

o   Share the acquired knowledge and interventions with relevant stakeholders.

The meeting provided TO_AITION partners with an opportunity to engage in discussions regarding the project's current status, receive updates on various work packages, and align on forthcoming timelines, tasks, and deliverables.

Chaired by Dr. Vangelis Andreakos, TO_AITION Coordinator, the meeting featured comprehensive updates from leaders of different work packages and tasks, highlighting the progress achieved in the past twelve months and presenting action plans for the upcoming period.
